About

Taylan started playing chess with his dad at five years old. In March 2026 he played his first rated tournament, and he has been at the board in Brooklyn and Manhattan most weekends since.

As White he opens with the Italian Game. As Black he meets 1. e4 with the Stafford Gambit, giving up a pawn early for fast development and traps.
